The Brussels Advent market has its roots deep in the Middle Ages and is the largest of its kind in Belgium. It has a distinctly multinational feel with stalls from just about every corner of the European Union springing up along an illuminated two km route, offering everything from traditional hand-crafted gifts and decorations to mulled wine and local delicacies including marzipan, gingerbread and, of course, Belgian chocolates.
